Wonkette: "It might seem strange to some that a "ban" on torture by the U.S. government would have an exception, because that's really not much of a ban. But we think that Vice President Cheney's proposal to legally authorize the CIA to commit human rights abuses makes total sense. It's a kind of "right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing" kind of thing...read on"

Bush: We Must Always Ask Ourselves Not Only What Is Legal, But What Is Right
I heard that Maureen Dowd was on MSNBC Live between 7-8:00am PST. She was supposed to talk about Judy Miller? Did anyone see it. Got video?
Raw Story is reporting: "Special Prosecutor Patrick J. The White House is up to its ears in controversy, but made time to send a legal letter to The Onion ordering the satirical newspaper to stop using the presidential seal. The seal can't be used commercially or to suggest the president's endorsement. The Onion counters its readers know it's a joke. How did the White House find out? Memo to Bill O'Reilly: Please Retire Now!
As I said in a post last night, Bill attacked Media Matters and CAP in as dishonest a way as he could think of. He proved yet again what a coward he is by refusing to address Media Matters in person. I think it is time for Bill to throw in the towel, go away, begone, skedaddle, vamoose, move on, and bid farewell. I'm only suggesting this because he mentioned it to Newsday himself, so I'll second that motion.
